Mr. Cornell Long is the Air Force Subject Matter Expert for chemistry, data quality objectives and data quality assurance at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center in San Antonio, Texas. He is the AF Principal on the DoD Environmental Data Quality Workgroup. Mr. Long is responsible for criteria, standards, manuals and directives to guide commands, installations and technical support agencies in design, planning, implementation and review of environmental quality systems, including systematic project planning, data collection, and data review. Mr. Long has degrees in chemistry and environmental science and is currently the chemical manager for perfluorinated compounds as a function of the Air Force’s Emerging Contaminant/Emerging Issues Program. As such, he oversees the development and implementation of the Air Force Restoration Program’s guidance on PFCs.
