Adam Baas is Of Counsel with DLA Piper where he concentrates his practice in the area of environmental litigation, regulatory compliance, corporate successor liability and transactions involving environmentally impacted assets. Adam has extensive experience in a wide range of environmental matters and has been lead counsel in representing corporate clients in complex litigation matters, including regulatory enforcement actions, product liability suits, cost recovery actions, natural resource damage claims, toxic torts, alter ego claims, and successor liability actions. Adam also has experience in advising clients on regulatory compliance with state and federal environmental laws and regulations; managing Superfund and legacy site investigations and clean up; negotiating consent orders and settlement agreements; investigating, remediating, and transferring contaminated properties; negotiating environmental and land use agreements with regulatory agencies and private entities; and performing environmental due diligence in asset transactions. Adam attended Boston University School of Law and is licensed to practice in California, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
