Brandon Steets is a chemical engineer and senior principal located in Santa Barbara, CA. He has 20 years' consulting experience and is an expert in stormwater pollutant source identification, water quality modeling, Green Infrastructure performance and design, and Clean Water Act NPDES permitting and litigation. He helped develop nationwide guidance on BMP Performance and Harmful Cyanobacteria Blooms for ITRC, co-edited the ASCE report, Pathogens in Urban Stormwater Systems, and led new statewide guidance on drywells (California), industrial pollutant source demonstration (California), and microbial source tracking (Colorado, Massachusetts). He was a member of the California Clean Beaches Task Force, his projects have won awards from ASCE, NACWA, and the California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA), and he recently served as advisor to the National Academy of Sciences' committee on industrial stormwater.
